The City of Bremerton is seeking to fill the position of Laborer – Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City’s Department of Public Works & Utilities. Once established, this register is valid for six (6) months, and future open positions will be filled using this register.

GENERAL FUNCTION
Under close supervision, performs manual labor and assists Operations and Maintenance staff with cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and general support of wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, odor control stations, and related equipment. Performs work using hand tools and small equipment and learns basic wastewater processes, equipment, and safe work practices.
The hiring range for this position is: $24.88 - $30.32 per hour. This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years). Additionally, a 3.8% cost of living increase has been approved for 2027.
