The City of Bremerton is seeking to fill one vacant position and establish an eligible register for the position of Code Enforcement Officer in the City’s Department of Community Development. Once established, this register is valid for one (1) year and future open positions will be filled using this register.

GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Building Official and/or Community Development Director, effectively lead the City’s code enforcement program. Establishes the processes and procedures necessary to develop and implement an effective, efficient and collaborative code enforcement program. Interprets and coordinates the compliance and enforcement of a variety of regulatory requirements. Responds to, investigates, and resolves complaints. Coordinates code compliance efforts with appropriate City, State and Federal agencies and assists in prosecution of code violators, when needed.
The hiring range for this position is: $41.34 - $50.84 per hour (DOQ). This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years).
