Who you are:
The Vice President (VP) of High School, will develop, formalize, and execute the High School strategy for Inbound Exchanges, promoting CIEE BridgeUSA programs that bring exchange visitors from other countries to the U.S. They will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of CIEE’s Inbound Exchanges Division.
The Vice President of High School is responsible for leading, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of CIEE’s High School business including managing the placements sales teams, overseeing marketing campaigns, overseeing Compliance, Operations, and Placement Support. The VP of High School will analyze market trends and collaborate with other departments across CIEE to achieve organizational goals and drive revenue growth. Additionally, the VP of HS plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring the overall success of the HS program, and establishing standards and practices for the company’s brand and growth in the marketplace. The VP is responsible for ensuring each team meets department goals, maintains high standards of quality, and exceptional service to all stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Strategy and Leadership:
• Develop and implement a High School strategy to drive revenue growth aligned with the company's international expansion goals.
• Build and maintain a strong team able to deliver on the strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand the company's reach and impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and overall business objectives.
• Represent the company at international conferences, events, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility and network with potential partners.
• Provide clear and concise weekly/monthly updates to management regarding ongoing projects, priorities, and results.
International Business Development:
• Identify new markets and opportunities for international expansion.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners.
• Develop market intelligence and knowledge about competing programs and marketplace developments as well as propose future optional products, services, and programs.
Sales - Data-Driven Decision Making:
• With input from the Director of Placements develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth aligned with the company's international expansion goals. Ensure the Director of Placements is:
➢ Leading, mentoring, and motivating the sales team to achieve targets and exceed performance expectations.
➢ Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and optimize marketing campaigns.
• Utilize data analytics to assess marketing and sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations.
• Implement clear metrics to measure the success of marketing and sales initiatives.
Operations, Compliance, and Support:
With input from the Director of Compliance, Operations, and Support develop a robust operations and compliance structure. Ensure the Director of Operations, Compliance and Support is:
➢ Setting goals and guidelines for meeting service needs and establishing department budgets.
➢ Collaborating with the Director of National Placements and Senior Director/VP of High School Exchange to develop and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
➢ Managing the day-to-day activities and workload of the placement support team to ensure effective placement support for Local Coordinators.
➢ Directing the development of training programs for Local Coordinators, to better assist them with finding placements, assist host families and students, and ensure they are well-informed and compliant with program standards and regulations
➢ Overseeing the student application process including review, acceptance, placement logistics, and move scenarios.
➢ Overseeing the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures and conducting regular audits to identify and address potential issues to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of State and CSIET regulations including the management of forms. Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
In addition:
• Develop and manage budgets to achieve program objectives. Ensure that partner and enrollment goals are met fiscally to ensure return on investment.
• Develop creative and powerful communication plans to support sales objectives for each program and market.
• Manage additional projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for this position. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, operations, and international business development. The ideal candidate will understand the cultural exchange sector and have a passion for international education.
• Master's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 15 years of hands-on sales and operations experience including strategic marketing, program/project management, brand/content development, and staff management.
• Proven track record of success in senior sales and operations roles within the international education sector preferred.
• Experience managing a sales reporting environment using a CRM system and reporting. Expert at seeing sales figures, communicating them to the team, and leading the best course of action.
• Experience contributing to the strategic direction of a business line with an eye to sales and marketing but also informing product, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong understanding of global education trends, cultural nuances, and regulatory considerations.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level.
• Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
