The City of Bremerton is seeking to establish an eligible register and fill one vacant position of Planner I in the Department of Community Development. Once established, this register is valid for one (1) year and future open positions will be filled using this register.

Provides technical support for comprehensive planning and land use permitting activities. Develops and implements planning studies, reports and recommendations pertaining to land use and environmental impact. Conducts land use permitting functions and processes amendments to city land use codes. May conduct annexation studies and assist annexation initiatives.
The hiring range for this position is: $35.04 - $42.91 per hour (DOQ). This salary is 2024 rates and includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years), and the anticipated hiring range is : $35.04 to $41.26.
