The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Instructional Technologist. The Instructional Technologist serves as a key partner in developing high-quality online courses. The role ensures courses meet accreditation standards, accessibility guidelines, best practices for online learning, and program-specific requirements. This position is responsible for all phases of course development and maintenance, including, but not limited to: building courses to include all elements in the university supported Learning Management System (LMS), staying current on the latest educational technologies and their applications, assisting with video production and editing, collaborating with faculty to create engaging multimedia elements (including training them on these tools), integrating learning tools into the LMS, and rolling and updating the courses for each new semester. The Instructional Technologist equips faculty to maximize online teaching effectiveness by providing hands-on demonstrations of the Learning Management System (LMS) and offering pedagogical advice. As a member of the Nevada Online instructional design team, the Instructional Technologist works collaboratively to fully support faculty developing or redeveloping online courses and programs. This position reports to the Vice Provost for Online Learning.
