Position Overview
The Sr. Program Coordinator supports Shunpike’s program activities, with a focus on the Downtown Seattle activities, including the Seattle Restored Program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes—ensuring details are covered, communications flow smoothly, and artists feel supported and empowered.
You will work closely with colleagues, artists, property partners, city agencies, and local communities to deliver impactful, accessible art experiences. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating logistics, communications, and artist support for window installations and residencies in downtown Seattle.
Key Responsibilities
● Artist Support & Relationship Management
○ Support onboarding, communications, and contracts for residency and installation
artists.
○ Maintain positive, professional relationships with diverse artists and collaborators.
○ Provide artists with responsive support while balancing program goals and logistical
needs.
Program Execution
○ Manage timelines, installation schedules, and partner communications.
○ Support site visits and installation logistics, while balancing property/location
limitations.
○ Track progress, document outcomes, and contribute to evaluation and reporting.
● Conflict Navigation & Equity Practice
○ Apply active listening and conflict-resolution skills to interpersonal challenges.
○ Ensure artist selection and support practices reflect Shunpike’s DEI values.
○ Create safe, inclusive environments for all participants and community members.
● Team & Organizational Support
○ Collaborate with the Programs team and contribute to team meetings and shared goals.
○ Assist with financial tracking, invoice processing, and budgeting support.
○ Uphold professional standards of discretion, documentation, and communication.
Who You Are
● You have 3+ years of experience in project coordination, program support, or community
engagement.
● You’re committed to racial equity and anti-racism, and are comfortable engaging across lines of
identity.
● You’re skilled at building relationships, navigating conflict, and supporting people from diverse
backgrounds.
● You’re a strong communicator—clear, patient, and a great listener.
● You’re highly organized, able to manage timelines, logistics, and multiple priorities.
● You’re financially literate, with comfort handling basic budgets and cash transactions.
● You stay calm and solution-focused in fast-paced or high-pressure moments.
● You’re comfortable working on-site and outdoors, can lift up to 50 lbs, have a valid driver's
license, and have access to reliable transportation to travel around the city.
● You’re tech-savvy, fluent in Google Suite, Word, and Excel, and quick to learn new tools.
● You bring a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and a team-oriented mindset.

Employment Status: Full-time (40 hrs/week), Exempt. Core hours are 10 am – 6 pm, Monday-Friday, with requests for flexible hours considered. Some weekend and evening work is required.
Compensation: $71,000-$75,000 per annum DOE; ORCA Card (alt. WFH stipend); 401k w/employer match; Health benefits including vision and dental; 18 vacation days, sick time, and 9 paid holidays.
