The City of Bremerton is seeking to establish an eligible register for the position of Evidence/Crime Scene Technician in the City’s Police department. Once established, this register is valid for one (1) year and future open positions will be filled using this register.

This position has the responsibility of safeguarding the storage of, and accounting for, a large collection of case evidence, items for safekeeping, and found property. The position requires working at crime scenes, conducting forensic examinations, and processing evidence utilizing forensic techniques in the lab, preparing field and lab reports, and testifying to findings.
A thorough understanding that no item can be misplaced or handled inappropriately is essential.
The hiring range for this position is: $28.88 - $34.00 per hour (DOQ). This salary includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years).
