POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northeast Bank Information Technology team this role will be involved in supporting the infrastructure environments and the day-to-day operations of the department. This team member will be assisting with the administration of various infrastructure technologies, from servers and networks to SaaS environments (Windows Server, O365, Azure, Cisco, Fortinet, etc). This position will be supporting the systems and network operations, stability, and configurations. In addition, this role will be providing support to the Bank’s users and IT staff, device deployments, participating in standing meetings, and performing project related tasks as needed. You will be a contributor to the team and will become a point of escalation for other internal members. The ideal candidate will have strength with the technologies listed below, have a growth mindset, be organized, and can work both independently and in a group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO configurations, monitoring, and uptime.
- Assist with the administration of network infrastructure, virtual Windows servers and appliances, VOIP, and SaaS environments.
- Assist with the administration of M365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, O365 apps, etc.
- Assist with the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure equipment, services, appliances, etc. with adherence to best practices and industry security standards.
- Device provisioning (desktop, mobile), configurations, and best practices.
- Review activity logs, events, and incidents.
- Maintain and support a mix of vendor equipment across multiple locations.
- Provide technical expertise needed to resolve complex issues.
- Be an escalation resource for internal IT members and other business units.
- Ensure that documentation is always current and properly reflects the Bank’s infrastructure details.
- Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Bank.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 1+ years of prior work experience with services, server administration, monitoring, and operability.
- 1+ years of prior work experience with networks (route, switch, firewall), wireless, and VPN technologies.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail when creating technical documentation.
- Knowledge about banking compliance and the regulatory responsibilities around information security best practices required.
- Positive attitude, customer oriented, and good communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Proven ability to function as a team member for multiple simultaneous activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Some travel is required.
- Work unpredictable hours including Saturday.
- Work 1 Saturday morning per month for on-call responsibilities.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud due to the computer systems in the facility.
