POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northeast Bank Information Technology team, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the department. This position is responsible for managing the Bank’s servers, infrastructure, network, hosted services vendors, and technologies to ensure the operations of server machines, core operating software, application performance, and policies. The ideal candidate will manage connectivity between local and remote sites that utilize LAN and WAN based connections and apply best practices so that servers, switches, and routers are operating at optimum capacity and responsiveness. In addition, this role will be providing some shared help desk support to the Bank’s users, participating in standing meetings, and performing project related tasks as needed. This role will be a key contributor to the Bank’s network and domain administration including active directory, Entra, routers, switches, GPOs, Azure Cloud, other control environment systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administration of virtual Windows domain, servers, appliances, VOIP, Exchange Online, O365, and other SaaS environments.
- Provide administration of Bank network infrastructure devices, appliances, configurations, adherence to best practices and industry security standards.
- Installations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of hardware and software across the environment.
- Review resource monitoring, performance tuning, and scaling of infrastructure nodes. Coordinate changes as needed with third party vendor. Implement and engineer solutions based on business needs.
- Maintain and support a mix of vendor equipment.
- Decrease downtime, support risk mitigation initiatives, and vulnerability remediations.
- Provide technical expertise needed to resolve complex issues.
- Be an escalation resource for internal IT members and other business units.
- Ensure that documentation is always current and properly reflects the Bank’s infrastructure details.
- Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 4+ years of prior work experience with server, network, and security infrastructure environments.
- 4+ years of prior work experience with Windows operating systems, virtual appliances, network equipment, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail when participating in projects and creating technical documentation.
- Knowledge about banking compliance and the regulatory responsibilities around information security best practices required.
- Positive attitude, customer oriented, and good communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Proven ability to function as a team member for multiple simultaneous activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Some travel is required.
- Work unpredictable hours including Saturday.
- Work 1 Saturday morning per month for on-call responsibilities.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud due to the computer systems in the facility.
- Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors.
